These stunning large greeting cards have been designed by Gloucestershire based contemporary artist, Jane Lampard. It was originally painted in pastels.
They are blank inside and measure 15.5 x 15.5cm.
Each card is cello wrapped with a white envelope.
Statement by Jane Lampard
'I work in pastel or oil using subtle tones of paint to build up depth and atmosphere in my landscape paintings. I try to employ a sensitive approach, working directly from life whenever possible and drawing inspiration from the fleeting effects of the changes in the seasons, the weather and the light. There is so much that I want to record in the beauty of our landscape. I am particularly interested in the small farms which surround my home in south Gloucestershire, perhaps because I feel their traditional way of life is threatened. When working away from home I make frequent painting trips to Cornwall and also Tuscany and Venice where I have tutored small groups. For the past fifteen years I have had a yearly exhibition in my studio at home. My work has been exhibited with the Pastel Society, Royal West of England Academy, the Society of Women Artists as well as several leading provincial galleries. I am also a member of the Dobunni painters, a group of professional artists who paint in the Cotswolds'.
